Ingredients:
Milk – 1 litre
Vinegar/lemon juice – 2-3 tbsp
Procedure:
- Boil milk, remove from heat and immediately add vinegar/ lemon juice to it.
- You will see that the water separates from the milk solids.
- Line a sieve with cheese (muslin) cloth or a clean kerchief.
- Pour the liquid over it so that the solids separate from the liquid.
- Let it drain for about 30 minutes.
- Then wrap the cloth tightly around the paneer and place a heavy weight over it.
- Leave it overnight with a vessel underneath to catch any drippings.
- Remove the cloth from paneer and refrigerate.
