Tofu Nuggets

‘Tofu’ is like paneer but made from soy milk. It is good in protein and a good healthy vegetarian option to use in koftas, starter recipes and gravy curries.

I have shared few of my recipes with tofu like – Tofu tikka, tofu bhurji .

Today’s recipe is an appetizer or can be had as a snack too. It can be made quickly whenever your kids come from school or when you need something for unexpected guests.

Procedure:

  1. Into a large mixing bowl, add all the ingredients except water and oil. Combine well.
  2. Prepare kofta shaped balls from the mixture; add 1 or 2 tbsp water if the mixture is too dry.
  3. Heat the oil for shallow fry and on a medium-low flame; fry the koftas till they are crisp and deep golden brown in color.
  4. Squeeze a little of lemon juice over them and serve hot with ketchup or green chutney.IMG_2976
