Watermelon and orange juice – summer recipe

Summer is nothing without healthy drinks, healthy juice and fresh fruits. Watermelon and orange juice is a quick summer slush and since these fruits are easily available in summers, it makes this even special to me 🙂 Watermelon is a boon in summers, it’s high water content along with its nutrients makes it a perfect summer drink and when you add a touch of orange to it, the flavor is quite enhanced!

Watermelon-orange summer slush

I always make my drinks in blender, but it is perfect if you got either a juice maker or juice machine. There are more fresh juice recipes like strawberry milk shake, mango cooler.

Watermelon-orange slush

Serves: 2

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

Watermelon – 2 cups (peeled, deseeded and diced)

Orange juice – ½ cup (you may use fresh oranges that are peeled and deseeded)

Honey – 1/8 cup (depending on sweetness of fruits)

Mint leaves – 5

Lemon juice – ½ tsp

Ice cubes – 3-5

Procedure:

  1. In a blender/juicer or mixer, blend all the ingredients into a smooth liquid. It is fine if there are some chunks left.
  2. Pour into a juice glass or tumbler, top with a sprig of mint and serve chilled!!Watermelon-orange slush
