Chocolate Cake Smoothie

This is my first post on smoothies and shakes. I never actually make them at home because of their high calories. Once in a while, if I really want to satisfy my chocolate cravings I usually have it over the weekend. There was some chocolate cake leftover in my pantry from last week’s failed attempt to prepare Swiss roll 🙂 So I thought a smoothie would be a good option.

Makes: 1 Glass

Preparation time: 10 mins

Ingredients

Leftover Cake – 4 pieces (I used chocolate cake)

Instant coffee powder – ½ tsp

Milk – ¼ cup (cold or at room temperature)

Water – 3 tbsp

Biscuit/chocolate chips/sprinkles – for topping

Procedure:

  1. Boil the water and add instant coffee powder to it. Remove from heat and let it cool. Alternately you can use espresso.
  2. Blend together the cake, milk and coffee until the liquid is smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass and top it with biscuit or sprinkles. A very easy chocolate drink is ready in minutes.
