Ingredients:
Soy chunks – 1 cup
Onion – ½ cup (chopped)
Tomato – ½ cup (chopped)
Capsicum – ½ cup (chopped)
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Cinnamon – ½ inch piece
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Green cardamom – 2-3
Pepper corns – 4-5
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Kurma masala powder – 2 tbsp
Red chilli powder – ½ tbsp
Water – ½ cup
Oil – 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves – to garnish
Salt – to taste
Procedure:
- Heat a pan with oil and add cumin seeds, cinnamon, mustard seeds, cardamom and peppercorns. Fry till they splutter.
- Add the onions and fry till the onion turns brown.
- Add the tomatoes and cook till they turn mushy.
- Then add the turmeric powder, kurma masala powder and red chilli powder. Cook till the oil separates.
- Then add the capsicum, soya chunks, water and salt. Simmer till the soy chunks become edible and all the spices incorporate well.
- Switch off heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
