Aloo Jeera is a very basic and quick-to-make curry perfect for lunch-box and busy days. It can be made in a jiffy and goes well with plain rice and even roti. I especially love it with curd rice. Aummmmmm…!!!! wow I am drooling π π

Ingredients:
Potato/Aloo β 2 big (boiled, peeled and diced)
Cumin seeds β 2 tsp
Asafoetida/hing β a pinch
Turmeric powder β ΒΌ tsp
Red chili powder β 1 tsp
Coriander leaves, finely chopped β to garnish
Salt β to taste
Oil β 1 tbsp
Procedure:
- Heat oil in a skillet and add the cumin seeds and fry for few seconds. Add the hing, turmeric powder, red chili powder and fry for few more seconds.
- Add the potatoes, salt and give a good gentle toss. Make sure the potatoes are well coated with the spices.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and remove from heat.
- A very simple and quick-to-make side dish is ready to be served with rice or roti.
