I know that many of you know how to prepare this and probably would be enjoying it regularly. It may not be rocket science, but I thought of sharing it because it is part of my everyday menu πŸ˜€ I drink 2 cups of tea a day and the evening one is always ginger tea. It makes me feel refreshed and rejuvenated especially after all the sharing and posting of my blog work πŸ™‚

Ginger tea is actually very good in medicinal aspects too. It is best to fight off cold during winters and also keeps your tummy in good condition. I add a pinch of cinnamon powder to give it a unique strength of flavor. I hope you will make this soon πŸ™‚

Serves:Β 1

Preparation time: 15 mins

Milk – ΒΌ cup

Water – Β½ cup

Tea powder – 2 tsp

Ginger – 1 tsp (grated or chopped)

Green cardamom – 1 (seeds opened)

Sugar – 1 tsp

Cinnamon powder – a pinch, optional

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a saucepan or small tea kettle and bring everything to a boil.
  2. Let it simmer for 5-8 minutes till you get a dark golden color and the flavors are well incorporated.
  3. Strain the tea and serve hot with biscuits or any snacks of your choice.

Note: Depending on your preference, you may add or reduce the water added. You may also make it entirely with milk.
