I received a wordpress wrap-up of my site yesterday regarding my ‘PK’s Kitchen Equations’ stats and it felt wonderful on seeing how my blog/site has traveled right from May of this year, when I started my blog. So, I thought I would do a small wrap-up of my blog’s journey this year and how things were in 2014.

2014 was a pretty stable and satisfying year to me, both personal and professional. When I thought about the milestones this year had for me, the only one that came to mind was starting my blog. I moved places, left my job and then things suddenly changed. To start a blog, was the idea given by my husband to get away with my free time and boredom. Once, I got into it, I seemed to enjoy it so much that within months we were in a position to take our own domain and host. I learnt a LOT about cooking in the past 8 months. The food or blogging world is so huge and enormous that initially I felt I was in the middle of an ocean and thought my blog would just float away in the competition. But, slowly as I learnt more about food photography, different cuisines, followed lot of wonderful bloggers from around the world, I became aware of so many things and I started to experiment with them in my blog. Today, I enjoy blogging more than my engineering career. I am enjoying every minute of my effort that goes into clicking pictures, formatting them, writing the posts, publishing, sharing, interacting with readers and every single recipe that I experiment on my husband 😛 It is so fun and a single positive comment from a reader would end my day feeling satisfied and accomplished 🙂

All said and done, the one MOST IMPORTANT aspect that keeps my blog moving forward are the READERS. Without you, my shares would just be some articles and nothing more. But, because you interact with me and keep coming back for more, I am able to keep updating you with more recipes and look forward to the same interaction and readership from you all in the year 2015 and even beyond 🙂 🙂

So, I think it’s better to wrap up now…. I have already bored you I guess 😀 To be concise, 2014 was a wonderful start to PK’s Kitchen and I am hopeful that I will be able to achieve a lot more going forward. So, wish you all a wonderful time once again and see you again next year 😀 Have fun.

By,

PK.
