Menthula pulusu is a staple in my in laws place. It’s my hubby’s favorite recipe to pair up with hot rice along with some dry curry on the side. I heard about this recipe only after I got married and visited my hubby’s place for the first time 🙂
This recipe has since been a regular on my thali menu. It’s a tangy, spicy and mild recipe with a hint of flavor from the drumstick! This recipe is good when eaten with hot rice!
The menthulu/Fenugreek seeds give it the much needed flavor and try to pair it up with a dry curry or vepudu and some appadams 🙂
Today, I prepared this simple Andhra style thali for lunch.
- kakarakaya vepudu/bitter gourd fry
- barabati vepudu/long beans fry
- thotakura ullipaya pappu/amaranth onion dal
- menthula pulusu/stew
- beerakaya pachadi/ridge gourd chutney
