Mulakkada nuvvulu kura | south Indian drumstick curry

Drumstick or Mulakkada as called in Telugu, is the main ingredient for this mulakkada nuvvulu curry. This is a very traditional recipe from Andhra and also that needs very minimal ingredients. I like the way my amma prepares this curry and its best eaten with hot rice and appadams!

This recipe gets all the flavor from nuvvulu or sesame seeds. My amma does not add any other major ingredients like tamarind or coconut to maintain its delicate sesame seed flavor. If you like sesame seeds then you will love this recipe😊

We all know that drumsticks and sesame seeds are very healthy as well. So you can include this recipe in your healthy meal plan too.

This recipe is also a good option for PCOS/PCOD diet as sesame seeds help in period regulation and has lot of iron in it. Its also a good option for kids who don’t like eating sesame seeds.
