Spaghetti Dessert/Kesari

Cooking time: 30 mins

 

Ingredients:
Spaghetti – 1 cup (broken into bite size pieces)
Milk – ¼ cup
Water – 3 cups
Sugar/jaggery – ¾ cup (I used jaggery)
Green cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Ghee/clarified butter – 1 tbsp
Cashew nuts, raisins – to garnish

Procedure:

  1. Heat ghee in a pan and fry the spaghetti. You will see that they turn into light brown color in about 3-4 minutes. Check the picture attached.
  2. Then add the water and let it cook till the water disappears and spaghetti is soft and edible.
  3. Add the milk, jaggery and cardamom powder and cook till the pan becomes dry and moisture evaporates.
  4. Remove from heat and top with nuts of your choice.

Note: The spaghetti may take some time to cook till soft. It took me about 15 minutes.
