Today, being Varalakshmi vratam, I have tried to compile a simple list of festival recipes or naivedyam recipes that can be prepared this sravana masam.
For varalakshmi vratam, I normally prepare 5 naivedyam recipes, most of which are available in the blog. They are –
- Pulihora or tamarind rice
- Garelu or medu vada
- Daddojanam or curd rice
- Bajjilu or fritters
- Kobbari laddu or coconut laddu
You can prepare beerakaya (ridge gourd) bajjilu, palakura (palak) bajjilu etc.
My mother also prepares recipes like chakrapongali, boorelu, paravannam, bobbatlu etc. Many of these recipes are yet to be uploaded in the blog, so I will keep posting them as and when I prepare them.
Apart from these, there are many more pindi vantalu or naivedyam recipes that can be prepared and offered to the goddess. The list is given below –
- Ven pongal or khara pongal
- Bread laddu
- Raw mango rice or mamidikaya pulihora
- Shahi tukda
I wish everyone who is performing this vratam a very happy and an auspicious time ahead 🙂
Do keep checking the blog for more festival recipes.
